Thanks to this video here.

The mirror on my mom’s melted off. Also, it was a little terrifying to drive with the top down, as you can clearly see that the windshield is below head level, so there’s zero protection in a rollover. Also under-powered, and with a dreadful electrical system (dim headlights, cigarette lighter doesn’t put out enough power to keep a GPS charged).
But damn it is a gorgeous car.

The windscreen frame won’t support anything of any weight...you need a proper rollbar if you want protection.

Look at a chrome bumper MG Midget...it’s an utter hoot...

Just buy a full set (and I mean full) of tools when you get one.

Oh I know!

Yep, but you can at least pretend. I was never bothered by it with the top up, where that is less obvious. My mother’s actually had a roll bar when she got it, but she had it removed as unstylish.

That’s a Miata engine and gearbox under there, I'm surprised the video didn't mention it.

They're incredibly expensive though, the LE50 starts from nearly US$85k. You do get that Miata engine and gearbox for safety of mind though...

That will help a lot

I want the MGB not the LE50, it’s still awesome though.
